Born in Madrid, Spain to a military family, I grew up traveling and moving every year or two. After 18 moves, I graduated high school on the Gulf coast before going on to be a Rebel at the University of Mississippi. While my formal education allowed me to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, life’s informal education has taught me a great deal more.
During the 4th of July weekend in 2009, I suffered a cervical neck injury to my C6 and C7 vertebrae. Needless to say, this threw a wrench into the plans I’d made. I spent the next handful of years rebuilding and figuring out what my new plans should be.
I’ve always had a love and appreciation for design. I spent most of my childhood taking things apart and rebuilding them, always looking for ways to improve. Combine that with my love for technology, and web development just makes good sense.
When I’m not behind a computer, I spend a lot of my time speaking and doing my best to educate and motivate those in and around the disability community.
